Blender and 3d modelling

I like 3d modelling and blender is a free open source alternative to commercial products like 3d studio max. I watched two great tutorials (by Jonathan Williamson) on blend yesterday and I was impressed – both by blender and the great quality of the tutorials. Very proffesional! The first tutorial was about character modelling and the second a case studie for how to model a barrel.

The blender user interface and navigation commands differs quite a bit from a standard windows application so a cheat sheet comes very handy.

For more inspiration on 3d modelling (not using blender though but cinema 4d) here is another video tutorial.
